Dahanu | June 2025 — The young prodigies of the Institute of Indian Arts (IOIA) Dahanu Branch have brought immense pride to their community by securing the 2nd Prize in the Minor (Under 7 Years) category at the highly competitive ABSS National Dance Championship. With over 7,000 participants from 22+ states across the country, the event was a grand celebration of India’s cultural and artistic diversity.
This talented group of young dancers, trained in the foundational techniques of Indian classical dance, stood out with their synchronization, expressions, and stage presence far beyond their years. The winning team included:
Shubra Dhawange
Mayraa Thakkar
Tvesha Patel
Rajvi Dhanu
Sonal Gupta
Mayra Nunadai
Sanavi Hasnale
Niti Patil
Shindhuja Nadar
Each of these young performers showcased discipline, confidence, and devotion to their craft, a reflection of the rigorous training and nurturing environment provided by IOIA.
The institute attributes this victory to the committed leadership and untiring efforts of Pragnya Ma’am and Tej Sir, whose passion for the classical arts and mentorship has consistently guided students to national and international recognition.
“This achievement by such young dancers proves that age is no barrier when passion meets the right guidance,” said Tej Sir. “We are deeply proud of the Dahanu team and grateful to all the parents who trusted the IOIA family.”
With this latest triumph, IOIA once again reinforces its reputation as a premier institution for training young artists in Indian classical dance, instilling both cultural values and professional excellence.
