At just 21, most people are still figuring out what to do with their lives.
Hunoof Furqan already knew what he couldn’t do — stay silent. Born and raised in Lucknow, Hunoof saw first-hand what systemic failure looks like: hungry families being denied ration cards, girls dropping out of school due to lack of pads, survivors of sexual violence being dismissed by police, and truth being buried under press releases.
So instead of tweeting about it or waiting for help, he built Udaan — not just an NGO, not just a media outlet, not just a legal aid team.
But an ecosystem.
An ecosystem designed to fight, protect, and amplify those the system refuses to see.
It Started With a Ration Kit
Udaan didn’t begin with a vision deck or donor funds.
It began with a ration kit.
A family nearby hadn’t eaten for two days. The state system failed them, the local NGO asked for documents they didn’t have, and the media didn’t care.
So Hunoof arranged groceries himself, delivered it on foot, and wrote their story.

That one act turned into Udaan Foundation.
Since then, Udaan Foundation has fed hundreds of families, distributed sanitary pads in slums, and supported schooling for underprivileged children — all while being self-funded and transparent.
When Help Wasn’t Enough, He Built Justice But food and pads weren’t enough.
A woman who came during a ration drive whispered that she had been raped by a neighbor. She had no idea how to file an FIR, and the police had already insulted her once.
That’s when Udaan Legal was born.
Under Hunoof’s leadership, Udaan Legal started offering free legal aid to rape survivors, acid attack victims, abandoned women, and abused children.
No paperwork delays. No judgment. Just protection and action. Today, Udaan Legal has a growing team of advocates, volunteers, and real-time support — all working to make sure justice isn’t a luxury.
When the System Denied Stories, He Built a Camera Crew
After rescuing a minor from a POCSO-abuse household, Hunoof tried to get media attention.
He was told: “It’s not trending enough.” So he said: “Fine. I’ll tell the story myself.” That’s how Udaan Media began.
With raw storytelling, unfiltered truth, and a phone camera, Udaan Media started reporting ground stories that mainstream media won’t touch — from illegal pharma exports to ration scams to survivor testimonies.
Under Hunoof’s leadership, it’s now building a network of on-ground reporters, anonymous tip lines, and youth creators who are ready to speak when no one else will.
He Didn’t Wait for Power. He Created It.
Most people ask for permission — from government, from donors, from systems.
Hunoof never did.
He didn’t wait to become a lawyer to offer legal aid.
He didn’t wait for a journalism degree to build a media network.
He didn’t wait for a foreign grant to distribute food or sanitary pads. He simply started doing the work — and now, a whole generation is watching, learning, and joining him.
Everything Is Connected. Because Injustice Is Too.
What makes Hunoof’s model different is how integrated it is.
A girl is denied ration → Udaan Foundation steps in.
She reveals she was abused → Udaan Legal takes charge.
The police refuse to file FIR → Udaan Media exposes it.
Each wing protects the other.
Each problem is met with action, documentation, and accountability. That’s not coincidence. That’s vision.
No Hashtags. No Performative Activism.
Hunoof doesn’t care about trends, photo ops, or celebrity collaborations. He cares about impact — feeding real families, winning real cases, and telling real stories.
He knows Udaan won’t be welcomed by the powerful — and that’s exactly the point.
Because Udaan doesn’t exist to please power.
It exists to give power to the voiceless.
Lucknow Is Just the Beginning
From one ration kit to an ecosystem of three institutions, Hunoof has proven what’s possible when you refuse to wait.
Udaan Foundation is now expanding across UP.
Udaan Media is building its first official newsroom.
Udaan Legal is registering as a national aid network.
And all of it — funded, led, and protected by a 21-year-old who just won’t stop.
Udaan is not a brand. It’s not a startup. It’s not an NGO. It’s the system we wish we had, being built by the people who got tired of asking.
And at the center of it is Hunoof Furqan — a founder, a fighter, and a force.
