From Agri-Tech to Real Estate Tech: Dicson Diclause’s Visionary Leap with Agentkart

An Exclusive Interview with Dicson Diclause, Founder of Agentkart and Former CMO of Barton Breeze
In the ever-evolving landscape of Indian entrepreneurship, few stories capture both bold pivots and visionary innovation like that of Dicson Diclause. After playing a pivotal role as CMO and Co-founder in scaling Barton Breeze, one of India’s most prominent agri-tech startups in the hydroponics space, Dicson has now set his sights on revolutionizing the real estate sector. His new venture, Agentkart, promises to solve one of the industry’s oldest problems—trust.

In this exclusive interview, Dicson opens up about his transition, the driving force behind Agentkart, and what the future holds for India’s real estate technology space.

Q: Dicson, congratulations on launching Agentkart. What inspired you to make the transition from agri-tech to real estate tech?

Dicson Diclause: Thank you! The journey has been both exciting and deeply personal. Barton Breeze gave me the opportunity to build a brand from the ground up—launching farms across India, leading marketing and growth strategies, and being part of a fantastic team. But over time, I started noticing a glaring gap in the real estate space—especially around transparency and trust in how consumers connect with agents. Whether it’s buying, selling, or renting property, people often rely on luck or vague references to find agents. That felt broken to me.

So, I decided to step down from Barton Breeze and build something that directly addresses this pain point. That’s how Agentkart was born—a tech-driven solution built around verified agent networking and consumer empowerment.

Q: How is Agentkart different from other real estate platforms in the market today?

Dicson Diclause: Great question. Most existing platforms focus on property listings. You go there to browse homes, filter by price or location, and maybe reach out to someone. But Agentkart flips that approach—we’re not about listings, we’re about people. More specifically, real estate agents.

What we’ve created is an AI-enabled B2C platform that allows consumers to find verified, trustworthy agents in their area—agents who’ve been thoroughly vetted by our team. The platform will offer a smooth, user-friendly interface where consumers can filter agents by specialty, location, ratings, and even transaction history.

It’s about restoring trust in the agent-client relationship—something we believe has been missing for far too long.

Q: Can you walk us through the short-term and long-term vision for Agentkart?

Dicson Diclause: In the short term, we’re focused on building a strong network of verified agents. We’re offering early-joining bonuses for agents who sign up via our waitlist. We’re also investing heavily in building anticipation for the platform’s launch later this year.

In the long term, we see Agentkart becoming India’s most trusted real estate networking platform. We want every Indian looking to buy, sell, or rent property to think, “Let me check Agentkart for a verified agent.” Additionally, we’ll expand geographically and introduce new features like agent ratings, consumer reviews, AI-based matchmaking, and eventually tools for agents to manage their portfolios and leads more efficiently.

Our ultimate goal is to revolutionize real estate discovery and transactions—starting with trust and ending with technology.

Q: You’re offering early bonuses for agents who join the waitlist. Why is that important?

Dicson Diclause: Because Agentkart is a community-driven platform, not just a marketplace. Verified agents are our most important stakeholders, and we want to reward early believers. Agents who join the waitlist now will enjoy exclusive visibility boosts, App credits, and early access to premium features once the platform launches.

Our mission is to empower every agent who has the zeal to grow and maintain a transparent and trustworthy relation with their clients and also help them build their personal brand online. We’re giving them the tools and exposure to grow their network without worrying about lead quality or credibility.

Q: Let’s talk about your entrepreneurial journey. How did your time at Barton Breeze prepare you for launching Agentkart?

Dicson Diclause: Barton Breeze was my entrepreneurial crucible. We scaled fast, raised significant capital, expanded into multiple cities, and built an entire value chain—from farms to finished hydroponic products. I was deeply involved in everything from brand building and digital marketing to investor relations and operational strategy.

But most importantly, Barton Breeze taught me the power of solving a clear problem with relentless focus. The hydroponics space had confusion and gaps—just like the real estate agent-consumer space does now. That experience gave me the confidence to build something that creates systemic value.

Q: What are some challenges you’re expecting in this new venture, especially in the real estate space?

Dicson Diclause: Real estate in India is traditionally an offline, trust-driven business. So, our biggest challenge is building digital trust at scale. That’s why verification is at the core of our platform—agents will undergo background checks, credential validations, and ongoing quality assessments.

Another challenge is changing consumer behavior. People are used to Googling agents or asking friends for referrals. We’re introducing a new way to think—“verify before you trust.” That kind of mindset shift takes time and communication.

Q: What trends do you see shaping the real estate tech sector in the coming years?

Dicson Diclause: Several. First, digitization will continue to redefine how consumers interact with real estate services. Post-pandemic, people are more open to using tech for traditionally offline activities, including property transactions.

Second, there’s a growing demand for verified professionals across industries—from doctors to tutors to now real estate agents. Trust and credibility are becoming central.

Third, AI and data will drive personalization. We’re already integrating AI to help consumers find agents who specialize in the exact type of property or location they’re targeting.

Also, I see the rise of professional networking platforms for service-based professions. Agentkart is tapping into that larger macrotrend, where agents are not just middlemen, but value providers with digital presence.

Q: You’ve mentioned trust multiple times. Why is that so critical in real estate?

Dicson Diclause: Because real estate is one of the most emotional and financially significant decisions a person makes. If you’re buying a home or renting a place for your family, the stakes are high. And yet, the current system often places you in the hands of unknown agents with little validation.

Agentkart exists to change that narrative. Every agent on our platform is verified, rated, and held to a standard. That trust layer is what we’re betting on—and it’s what will set us apart.

Q: Final question—what’s your message to real estate agents and consumers reading this?

Dicson Diclause: To agents: This is your moment. The real estate industry is going digital, and being part of a platform like Agentkart can transform how you grow your business. Join the waitlist now, be among the first, and build your professional presence the right way.

To consumers: You deserve transparency, safety, and smart connections when making property decisions. Agentkart is building that bridge for you. Verified agents. Real connections. Trusted transactions.
