Crescent Public School Ballarpur Celebrates a Memorable Annual Day

Crescent Public School, Ballarpur, hosted its Annual Day celebration on January 15, 2025, at Gondwana Natyagruha with immense enthusiasm and grandeur. The theme of the event, “Chanakya: An Epitome of Wit and Ethics”, beautifully captured the wisdom and values of one of India’s greatest thinkers.

The program began on an auspicious note with a sapling planting ceremony, symbolizing growth and sustainability. Presiding over the event as Chief Guest, Dr. Z. J. Khan, President of Crescent Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Chandrapur, delivered an inspiring address. In his speech, Dr. Khan emphasized the importance of focusing on a child’s skill development rather than solely judging them on academic marks. He said, “The only part of the body that continues to develop after birth is the brain. It is our responsibility to ensure its growth is nurtured in the right way, fostering creativity, competence, and strong values.”

The event also witnessed the esteemed presence of Guests of Honor—Shri Pravin Vigneshwar, Mr. Kailash Khandelwal, and Mr. Ramnarayan Khandelwal—who added to the occasion’s grandeur.

Adeena, a confident and eloquent student, delivered a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the evening. The Annual Report of the school, showcasing achievements from the past year, was presented by a group of talented students: Nehmat, Navaya, Jihaan, Farhan, Yashmi, Tannaya, Lavanaya, Laiba, Mohan, Amaan, Krish, Arjun, Ammar, Pranav, Humera, Nishika, Avej, Gunjan, Bharti, and Anusvi. Their detailed and vibrant presentation earned wide appreciation from the audience.

The cultural performances were the highlight of the evening, beginning with a soulful welcome song and the spirited Crescent Dance. One of the most touching performances was the Mother Dance, where mothers of the school—Komal Gidwani, Gauri Nathani, Reena Vishwakarma, Neeta Kale, Jyoti Shende, and Ujwalla Harbade—gracefully performed, earning heartfelt applause from the audience.

The centrepiece of the evening was a theatrical presentation depicting the life and teachings of Chanakya, brought to life by the brilliant performances of Master Amaan Khan, Arjun Bhise, Farhaan Khan, and Sammyak Gondane in the titular role. The drama was interwoven with mesmerizing dances such as Kanha Soja Zara, Thaan Liya, Vijayi Bhava, Maa Bhavani, Ghoomar, Shankara Re Shankara, Din Shagna Da, Mauli Mauli, and Bhumi Mangalam. Each performance showcased the students’ exceptional talent and dedication, leaving the audience spellbound.

The event was beautifully anchored by Ayesha, who ensured the program flowed seamlessly. The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Alisha, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, and everyone who contributed to the event’s success. The program ended with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and joy.

Principal Mrs. Humaira Khan expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the efforts of the students, parents, and staff. She said, “This Annual Day is a celebration of our shared journey in nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. I am incredibly proud of our students and grateful to everyone who contributed to making this event a success.”
